The Rock Cliffs and Ledges Ecosystem is found on Gichi-ishkwaayaan-minis (Outer Island) meaning "the great afterwards island" in Ojibwemowin.
This ecosystem is also found on Devil's Island. It makes up about one-third of the shorelines in the Apostle Islands.
